La Fête is an annual, one-day festival with distinct Louisiana flair. This festival is a celebration of the amazing environment, rich history, and the unique blend of cultures found in the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary. This national estuary is the 4.2 million acres between the Atchafalaya and Mississippi Rivers and much like its people, is truly unique. It is also the most rapidly disappearing area on earth and is one of the world’s richest natural resources providing fisheries, rich farmland and oil and gas resources to the nation.
Guest Speakers:
Mr. Michel Claudet, Parish President
Dr. Jeffrey Long, Oncologist-Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center
Mr. Richard Bullock, Mesothelioma Attorney
Mr. Mark Boudreaux, Executive Director-TPCD E-911

He is a self-taught fiddler and guitarist, influenced by blues, jazz, rockabilly, country, and Cajun styles. He is half of the two-piece gypsy Jazz combo known as Hot Club de Lune. He has been contracted as a session musician for numerous recordings. He is a fill in guitarist for the country group, The Drew Rice Band, and has just started a new group as the Brent Melancon Blues band.
