Terrebonne Parish Library is proud to partner with Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP to offer a new series of free technology classes aimed at empowering older adults with digital skills. These weekly sessions are part of the Senior Planet program from AARP, a nationally recognized initiative that helps older adults harness the power of technology to enrich their lives. Classes will take place each Wednesday in July at 10:00 a.m. at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library. Designed with older adults in mind, these sessions will cover a wide range of topics—from selecting the right computer to using video chat, exploring artificial intelligence, and navigating smart TVs and streaming services. In today's class, discover how to connect with loved ones near and far by learning how to use popular, user-friendly video chat applications effectively. All sessions are free and open to the public. Public Hearing for 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan & 2025 Annual Action Plan

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government has prepared a draft 5-Year Consolidated Plan and an Annual Action Plan for its 2025 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Programs as required by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. All interested parties are invited to review the documents, as well as comment or ask questions. The 5-Year Consolidated Plan addresses identified housing, homeless, and community development needs of Terrebonne Parish, while the Annual Action Plan describes how the anticipated 2025 grant funds will address the identified needs. A public hearing will be held from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Department of Housing & Human Services on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Comments or questions may be submitted before this date to Antoine Foret III, Community Development Administrator, at the above address, aforet@tpcg.org, or in person at the public hearing. All comments concerning the draft plans will be considered by Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. The draft plan can be viewed at tpcg.org/communitydevelopment.
