Description: The Bonne Terre Garden Fair will be held on May 2, 2009 on the beautiful grounds of the Southdown Plantation House at 1208 Museum Dr., Houma, LA. Southdown is a 19th century sugar plantation manor house and museum of local history and culture. There will be expert speakers including Louisiana's own Dan Gill, vendors selling plants, supplies and lawn and garden merchandise, kids' hands-on activities, a garden-themed art show within the museum, and museum tours, food, and much more.
