Terrebonne Parish Head Start will be accepting applications for the 2009-2010 school session during the week of March 9-13, 2009.
In order to apply, children must be three years old by Sept. 30, 2009. Families with children who have severe disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Applications will be accepted at the TPCG Office of Housing and Human Services at 809 Barrow Street from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. and at all Head Start classrooms from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will perform from 3:00-5:00 p.m. There will be a pre-concert "Instrument Petting Zoo" from 2-2:45 p.m., which is an educational program where children can interact with some of the musicians and instruments. Shop handmade items from over 300 unique vendors at our outdoor arts and craft show. There is bound to be something for everyone! There will also be discounted museum tours, great cajun food and music. Our Marketplace is the most extensive show in the Houma area and an established community event for more than 25 years.
Kids Fun Run begins at 1 pm, Tunnel Run begins at 2 pm and from 2-6 pm there is food with music provided by "Souled Out". Registration Fee: Entrance fees for the 5K are $10 for children 12 and under, $20 for all 13 and over prior to race day. $25 on race day and $10 for those who don't want to receive T-shirt or just want to come for entertainment. Benefitting American Heart Association. Registration forms are available at Haydel Clinic on Barrow Street or Trapp Cadillac Chevrolet.
Come stroll Historic Downtown Houma and view local artist's work. Free music and lots to look at. The restaurants will be open. Come enjoy the evening with family and friends.
