A consumer affairs specialist from the team of Dr. Craig Greene, Public Service Commissioner, will be available to assist or answer any questions you may have with regards to utility services which fall underneath the jurisdiction of the Louisiana Public Service Commission.

TGMC presents Farmers Market at the Marina. The event will host local food trucks and vendors selling a variety of items such as vegetables , homemade sweets and candles, honey, bread, etc. This event is free and open to the public.

Terrebonne Parish's annual parade will start at 5pm at Terrebonne High School and travel down Main Street, turn onto Barrow Street, and end at the corner of Barrow and School Street. More information to come.

The Celebrate the Child Event will take place from 2 to 6 PM at the Rotary Centennial Plaza. The kid zone will have free crafts and Santa pictures. Terrebonne Parish Library will host story time from 3 to 4 PM. Christmas trees entered into the Christmas tree decorating contest will be on display in the Courthouse Square. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The Annual Houma-Terrebonne Downtown Christmas Parade will roll at 5:00 PM. The parade will begin at Terrebonne High School and continue down Main Street. The parade will end at the corner of Barrow and School Street. The tree lighting ceremony will begin around 7:30 PM on the Courthouse steps and will include TPCG Administration along with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Girls on the Run celebrates the end of the season with a celebratory 5K. Packet pickup and registration opens at 11:00 am followed by a warm-up at 12:45 pm. The 5k will begin at 1:00 pm.

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library are hosting a Choice Book Sale. Books will be priced at $10 a bag, provided by the Friends. Cash, card, and check will be accepted. Shop our inventory of thousands of gently-used adult and children's books across subject matters and genres--history, romance, cooking, science, health, self-help, business, sports, science fiction, fantasy, religion, and more.

The Houma Elks Lodge #1193 will honor local Veterans with a Christmas breakfast. All are welcome. Veterans eat free and guests pay a $5 donation.

Terrebonne Parish residents are invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of the 2024-2028 elected officials of the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. The ceremony will begin with oaths of office, followed by a special council session, and a reception afterwards.

Special Session

The Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center is offering Cajun dance lessons! Participants are encouraged to bring a dance partner. There is a $5 fee per person. Class sizes are limited. If you have any questions, please contact 985-873-6408.
