Description:
Join Louisiana's Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments (LA SAFE) for a final parishwide meeting for Terrebonne Parish on Wednesday, December 6th, from 6 p.m. to 8 pm at the Houma Terrebonne Civic Center, 346 Civic Center Blvd., Houma, LA 70360.
The December meeting follows four rounds of parishwide and community-wide meetings about Louisiana’s coastal land loss crisis. In this final meeting, residents of Terrebonne Parish are invited to give feedback on proposed parish-specific projects, and participants will also have opportunities to select their favorite projects. Participant input will directly impact which projects could be funded. Food, music, art, and other local staples will be available to celebrate the hard work devoted to the LA SAFE initiative thus far.
Selected projects will be announced in early 2018.The LA SAFE team encourages all interested parties to attend and help shape coastal conservation efforts in Terrebonne Parish. Transportation is available; call Rachelle at (504) 517-5292. Find more information at lasafe.la.gov or on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (all at @LiveLaSafe).
