The annual Rougarou Fest will feature live music, cultural activities, children’s activities, Cajun food, the Krewe Ga Rou parade, and more. Family-friendly. Admission is free. All proceeds go to the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center.

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library announce their annual Spelling Bee. Levels and times are as follows:
Level 1: 1st - 2nd Grade at 9:30 a.m.
Level 2: 3rd - 4th Grade at 11:00 a.m.
Level 3: 5th - 6th Grade at 1:00 p.m.
Open Competition: 2:00 p.m.
To participate in levels 1-3, patrons must pay $1, open competitors $2. All proceeds go towards library resources and services.

The Terrebonne Parish Department of Planning and Zoning is conducting a repetitive loss area analysis for the Bayou Black area in Gibson. The intent of the analysis is to understand the flooding issues in the area, and identify ways to help reduce future flooding.

The viewing period for TPCG's online auction of surplus adjudicated property begins. The bidding period is from Monday, January 13, 2020, to Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
The annual Christmas Festival is geared towards entertaining children and family for the day, with many non-profits partnering to provide free games for the children. The parade starts at 5 p.m. at Terrebonne High School with we have 32 floats riding in the parade. Parish President Dove and his family will be starting the parade welcoming everyone to downtown Houma and wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.
