Description:
The Dulac Branch Library invites the community to its “Thanks for Family & Friends” Celebration at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 22 to learn about the origins of Thanksgiving and the importance of being thankful for family and friends. Activities include book readings and crafts, and snacks will be served. Free admission; all ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Free showing of "The Polar Express" will begin at 6:30 p.m. 100 boxcars for children to sit in will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early. Feel free to bring your own boxcar, chairs, and/or blankets. Each child will receive one cookie, one drink, and a Polar Express bell. Be sure to wear your Christmas jammies! In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved indoors at the Waterlife Museum.
Christmas-themed 5K celebrating the end of the Girls on the Run fall season. Packet pickup and race-day registration begins at 12:30 p.m., and the 5K begins at 2 p.m. Race entry is $20. Online registration is open until Nov. 30.

Description:
All regular meetings of the CZMRAC are scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month and are held in the Terrebonne Parish Council Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of Government Tower at 8026 Main Street, in Houma. Meeting dates are subject to change at the discretion of the CZMRAC to allow for a quorum of members present in order to constitute an official meeting.
Meeting dates are advertised in the Courier (official Parish Journal) a week prior to each meeting, and are also posted on the Public Notice Bulletin Boards located outside the doors of the Terrebonne Parish Council Meeting Room.

LA SAFE – Louisiana’s Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments
Description:
Join Louisiana's Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments (LA SAFE) for a final parishwide meeting for Terrebonne Parish on Wednesday, December 6th, from 6 p.m. to 8 pm at the Houma Terrebonne Civic Center, 346 Civic Center Blvd., Houma, LA 70360.
The December meeting follows four rounds of parishwide and community-wide meetings about Louisiana’s coastal land loss crisis. In this final meeting, residents of Terrebonne Parish are invited to give feedback on proposed parish-specific projects, and participants will also have opportunities to select their favorite projects. Participant input will directly impact which projects could be funded. Food, music, art, and other local staples will be available to celebrate the hard work devoted to the LA SAFE initiative thus far.
Selected projects will be announced in early 2018.The LA SAFE team encourages all interested parties to attend and help shape coastal conservation efforts in Terrebonne Parish. The Bell Choir, composed of 6 individuals led by Karen Henderson, plays arrangements using hand bells and Kodály hand signals, and is a performing group within TARC's Music Therapy program, which serves as many as 300 individuals in the parish.
