Free showing of "The Polar Express" will begin at 6:30 p.m. 100 boxcars for children to sit in will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early. Feel free to bring your own boxcar, chairs, and/or blankets. Each child will receive one cookie, one drink, and a Polar Express bell. Be sure to wear your Christmas jammies! In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved indoors at the Waterlife Museum.

LA SAFE – Louisiana’s Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments
Join Louisiana's Strategic Adaptations for Future Environments (LA SAFE) for a final parishwide meeting for Terrebonne Parish on Wednesday, December 6th, from 6 p.m. to 8 pm at the Houma Terrebonne Civic Center, 346 Civic Center Blvd., Houma, LA 70360.
The December meeting follows four rounds of parishwide and community-wide meetings about Louisiana’s coastal land loss crisis. In this final meeting, residents of Terrebonne Parish are invited to give feedback on proposed parish-specific projects, and participants will also have opportunities to select their favorite projects. Participant input will directly impact which projects could be funded. Food, music, art, and other local staples will be available to celebrate the hard work devoted to the LA SAFE initiative thus far.
Selected projects will be announced in early 2018.The LA SAFE team encourages all interested parties to attend and help shape coastal conservation efforts in Terrebonne Parish.
