Join us for an interactive showcase of Terrebonne Parish coastal protection including free food, displays, panel discussions, and meeting public officials. Discussion topics include levees/floodgates, structure elevations, and marsh/barrier island restoration. Free and open to the public. Kids are welcome.

Free concert starting at 5:30 pm, and the main act, SheauxDown, will play from 7-10 pm.

Senior citizens (ages 60+) are invited to enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, BBQ beans, various desserts, dancing, and door prizes. Music will be provided by Piece of Cake Band. $2.00 donation.

Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government observes 11 regular holidays throughout the year. Public Transit buses will use the weekend schedule during all observed holidays. Garbage collections are suspended/cancelled on New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day only. Art instruction for students in 2nd through 12th grade. Different teachers each day teaching different mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, collage, and drawing. Cost is $40/week. Classes are June 12-16, June 19-23, July 10-14, and July 17-21. Classes for grades 2-5 are from 10 a.m. to noon, and classes for grades 6-12 are from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 985-851-2198. The bayou region’s largest and longest-running indoor children’s festival featuring entertainment, products, and services from local and national brands. Admission is $5 per person. Children 1 and under are free.

Beginners Zydeco Dance lessons. $5 registration and $3 per class.

Free kid-friendly event featuring swimming lessons by certified instructors, rules of pool safety, first aid instruction, water safety tips, and CPR and fire extinguisher demos. Food will be served, and entertainment will be provided by DJ KiddKidd of 105.9 FM.
