All parts of the Fourth of July event are free and open to the public. The celeration kicks off at 5 p.m. with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park on LA. 311. The Patriots Parade bagins at Veternas Park immediately following the ceremony. Following the arade,crowds can enjoy free food, live music and fireworks in the Civic Center parking lot. The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band and Louisiana's Rockin' Fiddler, Waylon Thibodaux are scheduled to perform. The 10th annual fun-filled indoor festival held at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center, 346 Civic Center Blvd. Admission at the door. It features interactive games, sports, pony rides, live non-stop entertainment with character corner, shoppin (and freebies) from dozens of vendors and much more. Their joke not only ignite explosive laughter, but also benefit A Place of Restoration, a local substance-abuse rehabilitaion facility.
