Electric Generation

The Electric Generation Division's mission is to operate and maintain the Houma Generating Station in such a manner as to maximize availability, reliability, and efficiency, and to manage the allocation of available electric supply resources to minimize total supply cost, while deriving optimum revenues from the sale and utilization of surplus production capacity.

What we're responsible for

• Reliable capacity 103.6 MW
• 3 natural gas fired steam-turbine generators
• Unit 15 - 26 MW
• Unit 16 - 41.5 MW
• Rodemacher II - 23 MW Coal fired plant located in Boise, LA
