GIS Mapping

Our Mission

The mission of the G.I.S. Mapping System is to provide a central system of integrated graphical and statistical data, including the Parish Intranet website, and to manage GIS workflow for participating agencies of the parish to effectively manage physical assets and geographically dependent data. The participating agencies include the following:

  • Terrebonne Parish Communications District
  • Houma Fire Department
  • Houma Police Department
  • Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office
  • Terrebonne Assessor's Office
  • Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1
  • Volunteer Fire Departments
  • TPCG Utilities
  • TPCG Public Works
  • TPCG Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness
  • TPCG Planning

This division has the responsibility to manage projects with outside agencies or consultants involving the use of GIS and to provide geography to selected features.

The LSU Ag Center site provides estimations based on LIDAR and address information. Terrebonne Parish residents should contact Lisa Ledet with Planning and Zoning at 985-873-6565 if an official determination is needed.
