Trim your trees, buy supplies, and create a home inventory of your belongings. Be sure to take photos and videos of inside and outside of your home, especially expensive items. Use our fillable Home Inventory Checklist at ldi.la.gov/docs/defaultsource/documents/publicaffairs/consumerpublications/homeinventorycklist_web_fillable.pdf to make a room-by-room inventory of your belongings. Additionally, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) offers a Home Inventory App (content.naic.org/consumer/home-inventory) that allows you to upload photos.
