Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government observes 11 regular holidays throughout the year. Public Transit buses will use the weekend schedule during all observed holidays. Garbage collections are suspended/cancelled on New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day only. There will be a ribbon cutting celebrating a new community garden. The community will gather to plant produce and participate in other family-friendly activities. Nutrition information and healthy samples will also be available.
A wide range of electronics will be accepted, including: computers, telephone systems, gaming consoles, DVD’s, and other office equipment. Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council makes disposing of these devices environmentally safe while keeping your data safe in the process.
The library will host several real-life scientists to answer questions and offer practical advice to students who plan to enter their school's science fair.

For Terrebonne Parish residents, ages 50+. Various health-related organizations will be available to answer questions and distribute materials. $1 to cover the cost of the meal is required in order to receive a lunch.
This indoor craft show and marketplace will feature vendors selling crafts, sweets, decor, gifts, fashion, and beauty products. Parking and admission are free.
Art will be shown downtown in the store windows and in the court square. The Culture center, 317 Goode and the Waterlife, 7910 Park Avenue will have a Cajun band and refreshments. Wear your walking shoes and come visit downtown Houma.

Dress up as your favorite character, enjoy fun and informative sessions, and score some awesome swag with local artists and vendors. There will be a performance by Sweet Supernova (a dance cover and cosplay group), a fandom sing-a-long, Stranger Things panel, writing workshops, cosplay panels, games, and so much more.
Weekend long geocaching event. Main event includes interacting with geocaching vendors and sponsors, going on GeoTours, watching seminars, and mingling with other geocachers.
The event is a nationally-celebrated community event that encourages police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie while promoting neighborhood safety.
