Government Officials Visits LEPA Site

Michel H. Claudet, Terrebonne Consolidated Government President, Council members Johnny Pizzolatto, Alvin Tillman, Billy Hebert and TPCG Utility Director, Tom Bourg visited the newly renovated LEPA site in Boyce, Louisiana. Renovations included the installation of 24 new “low-NOx” burners in the unit’s boiler, the replacement of 38,500 copper/nickel tubes inside the main condenser with stainless steel tubes, complete wiring of the generator, installation of a high-pressure feed-water heater and other improvements totally approximately $20 million.

This source is Houma’s largest and least costly electrical supply and constitutes approximately 45 % of the Houma system’s annual energy requirements.
