Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet would like to urge all residents to visit the Gulf Economic Survival Team website (www.gest.la.gov).

This website created by the office of Louisiana Lt. Governor Scott Angelle provides a platform for users to view and gain useful information about the devastating economic effects of the recent moratorium on deepwater oil drilling.

Also included on this website are options for residents to voice their opinions on the drilling moratorium through an online petition as well as direct contact information for federal officials.

“This moratorium on deepwater drilling will have lasting effects on our economy,” stated Parish President Michel Claudet. “This website is an important tool to educate the rest of the country on the importance of repealing the moratorium,” added President Claudet.
