We have several departments that fall under the category of Public Safety:

• Houma Fire Department
• Houma Police Department
• Juvenile Detention
• Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP)

The Houma Police Department operates only within the city limits of Houma. The Houma Fire Department operates within the city limits but will go outside the city limits as a secondary response when requested.
