Centralized Fleet Maintenance is currently making use of all electronic resources that maintain records from which data can be extracted and distributed to department heads to in management decisions. This is building process that will take time become fully implemented.
Reports generated by the system are used to analyze various needs as they occur and are being used for: Tracking Annual Inspections, Scheduling Regular Maintenance, sorting fleet records by type, unit number and departmental assignment, etc.
We are currently working with Purchasing to monitor fuel card usage on all parish owned vehicles and reorganizing inventory procedures such as stocking and securing filters and batteries and grease that should generate an annual potential savings of over $30,000.
