Houma Terrebonne Community Band to Host 34th Anniversary Concert - April 14th **UPDATED**

At 6:30 pm on April 14th, the Houma-Terrebonne Community Band will host its 34th Anniversary Concert at the Houma Christian School at 109 Valhi Blvd Houma, LA.

Karen Dusenbery is this season's conductor of the band. Guest conductors include Megan Chauvin, Matthew Duplantis, Matthew Walling, and Kyle Aufderhar.

This year's musical selections consist of contemporary concert pieces with some classical pieces, including "A Copland Tribute", "National Emblem March", "Afterburn", "Shenandoah", and "Irish Tune from County Derry".

Tickets will be sold at the door. Adult tickets are $5, and children under 12 receive free admission. Sponsors of the band receive preferred seating; information on becoming a sponsor will be available at the concert.

The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band welcomes anyone who would like to play music to join. Practices are held on Thursday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. at the band hall under Southdown Stadium. Rehearsals for next season begin on May 3, 2018.
