Bayouside Cleanup March 3rd from 9 a.m. - Noon *Updated*

The Terrebonne Parish Bayouside Cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Volunteers will clean litter from the bayou sides, roadways, and waterways at various cleanup zones throughout the parish. Cleaning supplies such as gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and rakes will be provided. A picnic will follow with food, drinks, and music from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m at the future home of the Wetlands Discovery Center: 112 Library Drive, next to the Courtyard Marriott.

Volunteers are welcomed and encouraged to join this effort to keep our bayou sides clean. Anyone interested in volunteering should call the Wetlands Discovery Center at 985-580-7289 or email jforet@slwdc.org.

Those interested in volunteering are also encouraged to attend a planning meeting on February 15th, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum at 7910 Park Avenue in Houma. Team captains, cleanup zones, and logistics for March 3rd will be discussed.

The Terrebonne Parish Bayouside Cleanup is made possible by proceeds from the Rougarou Fest and a Keep Louisiana Beautiful Healthy Community Grant.
