PRESS RELEASE - BOIL WATER ADVISORY
from Michael Sobert, General Manager of Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1
December 22, 2016 -- 12 noon

Consolidated Waterworks District No.1, with the Louisiana Department of Health's knowledge and approval, issues a Boil Water Advisory in the Dulac, Lower Dulac and Four Point areas of Terrebonne Parish. Damage to a fire hydrant caused low pressure to the area of 7500 Shrimpers Row and 7603 Grand Caillou Road south including Four Point. Please see attached affected area map. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it, this includes fountain drinks, making ice, brushing teeth or using it for food preparation or rinsing of food. Water can be disinfected by boiling for 1 minute, starting after reaching a rolling boil.

Again, this Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until water has been sampled and proven safe for human consumption. Please stay tuned to your news outlets, visit our website, www.tpcw.org, or follow our facebook page or follow us on twitter.
