Houma, LA-Today local officials joined Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet in the opening of the extension of Valhi Boulevard from Equity Boulevard to Savanne Road. This new two lane 2.7 mile roadway will provide motorist an alternative route to the heavily traveled LA Highway 311. The approximately $10 million roadway was funded totally with Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government funds and was completed approximately one year ahead of schedule. “The completion of this project is a further reminder that Terrebonne Parish is serious about improving and investing in our infrastructure,” stated Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet. “We are excited to have the Valhi Extension completed and we look forward to the benefits of better traffic flow in the area,” added President Claudet.
