Notice of Veto of Stop Sign Removal Ordinance

In compliance with Section 2-13 of the Home Rule Charter for the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, a letter from Parish President Michel H. Claudet explaining his reasons for vetoing Ordinance No. 8052 is being published in full below. The ordinance amends the Parish Code so as to remove multi-way “Stop” signs from various intersections located in and around Council District 6 of Terrebonne Parish: Click here to view letter from Parish President . The Council is scheduled to act on this matter at the September 14, 2011 meeting of the Council, which begins at 6:00 PM in the Council Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the Government Tower building.
