Due to weather expected on Saturday, the Annual Houma-Terrebonne Downtown Christmas Parade will roll at 5:00 PM on December 3, 2023. The parade will begin at Terrebonne High School and continue down Main Street. The parade will end at the corner of Barrow and School Street.  This year’s parade will feature 35 floats.  The tree lighting ceremony will begin around 7:30 PM on the Courthouse steps and will include TPCG Administration along with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Celebrate the Child Event has also been moved to December 3, 2023, from 2 to 6 PM at the Rotary Centennial Plaza. The kid zone will have free crafts and Santa pictures. Terrebonne Parish Library will host story time from 3 to 4 PM. Christmas trees entered into the Christmas tree decorating contest will be on display in the Courthouse Square. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
