Vessels: Boats working in Cocodrie: 210 Skimmers working in Cocodrie: 21 Cleanup Progress • Continued beach reconnaissance and manual recovery of discovered oil. • All recovery operations are to follow the general shoreline treatment recommendations established for Timbalier Bay and Terrebonne Bay. 2) Oil impact reports: • Assessment team reports the following: • Team observed a line of emulsified oil in Terrebonne Bay approximately a quarter-mile long. • Sporadic oil was observed near the mouth of Oyster Bayou. 3) Fishing Closures: • Louisiana state officials on Friday reopened a large section of waters east of the Mississippi River for shrimp and finfish harvesting after consultation and lab tests approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration. • The only closures that remain are mapped below.
