Terrebonne Library Announces Reading and Discussion Program Centered on Coastal Impacts

The Terrebonne Parish Library will host the Witness to Change: Community Conversations on Coastal Impacts grant program. This adult reading and discussion program, led by scholars, offers participants the opportunity to learn more about issues arising from the complex and changing human relationship with water.

The four-part reading and discussion program will be held in person at the North Branch and virtually on Zoom. In-person discussions will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the following dates:

  • Monday, February 7, 2022
  • Monday, March 7, 2022
  • Monday, April 4, 2022
  • Monday, May 2, 2022

Each month, one of the following books will be featured:

  • Rising: Dispatches from the New American Shore by Elizabeth Rush
  • The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi
  • Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward
  • Bayou Farewell: The Rich Life and Tragic Death of Louisiana's Cajun Coast by Mike Tidwell

Witness to Change is a grant program courtesy of the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and part of the BHP-funded project. To sign up, email Mary Katherine Kearns at mkearns@mytpl.org. Visit leh.org/grants for more information.
