TPLS' Summer Reading Program Registration Opens June 1, 2021

The Terrebonne Parish Library System will open registration for the 2021 Summer Reading Program (SRP 2021) from June 1 to July 31, 2021

Registered participants who read a library book for a minimum of 20 minutes per day will be rewarded with an I Love My Library yard sign, entry into the annual summer raffle, and a brag tag after five days. Teens can choose decals or reusable straws instead of brag tags.

Every five days, participants who continue to read for at least 20 minutes per day earn another raffle entry and brag tag. The raffle prize for K-6th grade children is a bicycle and helmet, and the prize for teens and adults is a Kindle Fire tablet

The SRP 2021 theme, Tails and Tales, which centers around animal stories, will include story times, crafts, computer classes, and more. Select branches will offer snacks during story times. Virtual programming and weekly take-home crafts are available at all nine branches for those who wish to continue social distancing

Space is limited. Registration is required, so visit mytpl.org/srp soon to sign up.

SRP 2021 is sponsored by the Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library. The annual bike raffle is sponsored in part by the Kiwanis Club of Houma.
