Keep Terrebonne Beautiful to Host White Boot Cleanup October 3

Keep Terrebonne Beautiful and Bayou Terrebonne Distillers are hosting the White Boot Cleanup beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, around Downtown Houma.

Interested volunteers can sign up here. Volunteers will check-in at Bayou Terrebonne Distillers (8043 W Main St) from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and clean up a designated zone of Downtown Houma. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and entrance to the after-party celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., which will include a taste of Downtown Houma Restaurants. Prizes will be awarded for the most trash collected and the weirdest trash collected. Don't forget to decorate your white shrimp boots for a chance to win a prize for them too.

Keep Terrebonne Beautiful seeks a clean, green, and more beautiful Terrebonne Parish. The White Boot Cleanup is part of Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup, a nationwide community improvement program that usually runs from March 19 through June 20. This year, the program was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic as government and public health officials called on the public to avoid large gatherings and events to prevent the spread of the virus.
