Amendment No. 02 to Multiyear Implementation Plan for RESTORE Act Funding

Thursday August 06, 2020 02:50 pm - 2625 Views - Posted By Coastal Restoration and Preservation

The Terrebonne Parish’s Multiyear Implementation Plan (MYIP) is a requirement to receive funds for eligible projects through the RESTORE Act Trust Fund. With this proposed Amendment No. 02, the parish is proposing to add the Hollywood Road Extension Bridge across Bayou Black.

Funding for this bridge project will come from a RESTORE Act Direct Component allocation currently available to Terrebonne Parish. The parish’s initial approved MYIP included a workforce development program to be offered at Fletcher Technical Community College. Amendment No. 01 to the MYIP included the Bayou Little Caillou Conveyance Channel and various components in the Chauvin community. Subsequently, Terrebonne Parish received and accepted grant awards from the U.S. Treasury for these projects.

The proposed bridge project included in Amendment No. 02 to the parish’s MYIP is described in detail on the TPCG Coastal Restoration Department’s webpage. The public comment period closes on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.  Comments can be emailed to Mart Black, TPCG Coastal Restoration & Preservation Director at mblack@tpcg.org or call (985) 873-6889.
