The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter proudly presents the Animal Shelter’s 12 Days of Christmas video that is sure to make you laugh and warm your heart.  This Christmas-themed video is full of animation and cheer, but also provides viewers with a glimpse into the daily operations of caring for the shelter’s animals. Staff and volunteers of the shelter were cast in the video that was produced by Terrebonne Parish’s Information Technology Department. 

Animal Shelter Director, Valerie Robinson, said “Our dedicated staff and volunteers will do just about anything to help animals, including making a fun-filled Christmas video, to help our shelter animals find homes for the holidays.” 

The video is aimed at showcasing the shelter’s adoptable animals as well. During the month of December, the shelter is hosting a “Homes for the Holidays” adoption promotion in which all adoptions are $25.  Adoption hours during the week are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adoption hours on Saturdays are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shelter is not be open for intake on Saturdays. 

 Our holiday hours are:

• Tuesday, December 24, 2019 (Christmas Eve) - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for adoptions only
• Wednesday, December 25, 2019 (Christmas Day) - Closed

Dozens of animals are currently available for adoption at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. Pictures of some of the adoptable animals can be found on the shelter’s Facebook page and Petfinder.com.

Adopted animals are provided with the following:

• health exam
• vaccinations
• dewormer 
• appropriate testing
• microchip
• spay/neuter
• 1 month supply of flea prevention
• 1 month supply of heartwork prevention (dogs)
• starter bag of Hill's Science Diet Food
