The Downtown Demonstration Event has been rescheduled to December 13 and 14, 2019, due to inclement weather. The Planning and Zoning Department has made the following announcement:

Public participation is paramount to the success of our Downtown Demonstration Days project. Unfortunately, with outdoor events, the weather does not always cooperate. Out of respect for everyone's time and efforts, and to ensure the highest level of public participation which is crucial to this project, we have made the tough decision to postpone the Downtown Demonstration Days event until Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, 2019. While we know that this will be an inconvenience to some, we felt that it was more courteous to let everyone know sooner than later, especially for the pop-up shops before they got too far along with the loading and transfer of inventory. The new dates are not in conflict with scheduled events downtown or football games and will hopefully stand a chance of better weather. This postponement will apply to the Main Street reconfiguration, pop-up shops, public art installations, pocket parks, farmer's market, and the associated road closures. 

As of 12:21 P.M. today (October 16, 2019), the Kiwanis Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Festival is still scheduled for Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Courthouse Square. Stay tuned for future announcements from Kiwanis regarding their event.
