TPAS Announces Free Adoptions for Active Duty Military and Veterans

Parish President Gordon E. Dove and the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter (TPAS) announced a partnership with Vets Adopt Pets, a non-profit organization that assists active duty military and veterans by covering the cost of adoption fees of shelter pets. The service member must sign up with VetsAdoptPets.org before adopting their new family member at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. Vets Adopt Pets requires proof of active duty service or DD214 for retired veterans. The full adoption fee for one pet is paid by Vets Adopt Pets.

"We are grateful to be able to partner wth an organization whose main purpose is to provide support to our military families looking for a new pet, and we are honored to adopt pets to military service menters," said Valerie Robinson, Animal Shelter Manager.
