Terrebonne Parish Library Announces Annual Jambalaya Writers' Conference Mar. 9

The Friends of the Terrebonne Parish Public Library announce the 16th annual Jambalaya Writers' Conference (JWC), to be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library, 151 Library Drive, Houma. 

JWC promotes art within the community, enriches creativity, and offers guidance to writers of all skill levels. Readers are also encouraged to attend. Mingle with some of your favorite authors, learn about the writing craft, and more at JCW 2019. 

Writers from various literary backgrounds are scheduled to appear, including New York Times and USA Today romance writer Carolyn Brown, conference favorites David Middleton, Johnnie Bernhard, and Alys arden, horror aficionado Dacre Stoker, WWL-TV news anchor Sheba Turk, suspense novelist Erica Spindler, and more. The keynote presenter is New York Times, USA Bestseller Beatriz Williams. 

There will additionally be a preconference event at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library where guests are welcome to join Houma native Ken Wells for a sneak peek into his latest book, Gumbo Life: Tales from the Roux Bayou.
