The Bayou Black Recreation Center will host the following events in December for all Terrebonne Parish residents:

• 50s Plus - Wednesday, December 12 at noon 
  • Anyone 50 years of age or older is welcome to attend. Lunch will consist of chicken & sausage gumbo, rice, potato salad, and French bread served with dessert and soft drinks. Participants are welcome to bring hors d'oeuvres or desserts. 
• Winter Wonderland Dance - Friday, December 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Deejay Juice will host his Annual Winter Wonderland Dance at the recreation center with special guest. Chaperones are welcome. This event is for children ages 5 to 13 years old. Make sure to wear your ugly sweater. Concessions will be sold. 
• Meet Santa - Sunday, December 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Santa Claus will be at the recreation center. You can bring your camera to take pictures with Santa. Santa will also be giving out small gifts to children.
