The Putting Veterans First event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 18 and September 22 at the Main Branch Library. The library will host this program in partnership with Johnny Smith of the American Veteran Advocacy to assist veterans and their families.

Smith will present information regarding mental and physical healthcare and veterans’ rights. Veterans may receive assistance on filing and receiving benefits and access to education on PTSD and other diseases associated with Agent Orange.

Putting Veterans First is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
