The Terrebonne Parish Library System's first Battle of the Bands competition is now open. Interested bands have until June 15, 2018, to submit a YouTube link to an original, family-friendly song to Brigid Laborie at blaborie@mytpl.org. Submissions must also include the band name, band members' names, and a contact phone number.

The YouTube video for each band's song will be posted to the Terrebonne Parish Library Facebook page, and votes will be counted by the number of reactions received by each song. Voting lasts until July 14. The top three bands will perform a live concert on July 28 at the Main Library and must bring their own equipment, including PA and amps. The concert will be free and open to the public.
