The Terrebonne Parish Library System will host the "Great Terrebonne Read" from May 7 to May 21, 2018, at all branch library locations in Terrebonne Parish. A community-focused reading initiative, the Great Terrebonne Read encourages library patrons to vote for their favorite books. The top 10 books will be announced in the parish library's June newsletter as the Top 10 Terrebonne Reads.

Patrons may cast ballots at any branch library location; one ballot may be cast per book checked out. Ballots may only be cast for fiction books. Inspired by "The Great American Read," an upcoming PBS special, The Great Terrebonne Read ends the day before The Great American Read begins.
