A consumer affairs specialist from the team of Jean-Paul Coussan, Public Service Commissioner, will be available to assist or answer any questions you may have with regards to utility services which fall underneath the jurisdiction of the Louisiana Public Service Commission.

*EVENT MOVED TO MARCH 16 DUE TO PROJECTED WEATHER The Houma Rotary Cast Iron Cookoff presented by Transech LLC features 35+ cooking teams serving their best dishes cooked in cast iron cookware. For a $10 admission fee, you can taste everything, vote for your favorite, and support a great cause! All event proceeds benefit the many service projects of the Rotary Club of Houma in Terrebonne Parish and a local community beneficiary. To date, we have donated $20,000 to local community causes. This year, the cookoff will dedicate a large portion of proceeds to provide food and hygiene products to more than 2,000 local students in need through the Bayou Youth Equity Foundation: Mom’s Pantry program. In addition to delicious food, the Cast Iron Cookoff will have live local music, local artists displaying their work, and kid activities. You don’t want to miss this fabulous event!

Children will have the opportunity to learn essential life skills, including budgeting, making a grocery list, and choosing healthy foods, all while having fun in a real grocery store setting. The Community Development Block Grant Division is conducting its first of two public hearings to gain input from citizens, local agencies, and organizations about the development of the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library are thrilled to announce Capture the Flag Trivia, an exciting and fast-paced trivia competition. This unique event combines the thrill of trivia with the energy of a race, making for an unforgettable night of entertainment and friendly competition.

The Bayou Terrebonne Boucherie is a cultural event celebrating community, unity, and teamwork. Join us for a day of authentic boucherie dishes, live music, and bayou-themed competitions!

Keep Terrebonne Beautiful is calling on community members to take action in the fight against litter at the Bayou Grand Caillou White Boot Clean Up. This volunteer-driven event aims to remove litter and debris from roadsides, highways, and waterways to create a safer, cleaner, and more beautiful Terrebonne Parish. All volunteers will receive a free event t-shirt (while supplies last) and access to the after-party celebration to thank them for their hard work.
