The Rotary Club of Downtown Houma is excited to host its
first-ever Bourbon & Butts Cook-Off on Saturday, February 8th, from
12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This mouthwatering event invites the community to
come together for a day of delicious food, fun, and philanthropy. The
cook-off will feature 3-person teams competing to create the best pork
butt dish, with all proceeds going towards local initiatives.
Each 3-person team receives two pork butts and three event shirts to
gear up for the competition. General admission is $10 for adults and
kids over 12. The event is free for kids under 12.
Funds raised during the event will support the Rotary Club of Downtown
Houma’s operating fund, which finances impactful initiatives such as:
Scholarship programs for local students
Hurricane relief efforts, including the purchase of a cook trailer
Legion Park School Field Day sponsorship
Providing police vests for local law enforcement
Sponsorship opportunities are now available, allowing businesses and
individuals to support these efforts while gaining community
recognition.
Don’t miss your chance to enjoy great food, good bourbon, and the
opportunity to make a difference! For more details, to register a
team, or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please email
