Terrebonne Parish will be participating in the Christmas Tree Recycling Program to help with public awareness of coastal erosion. Residents may participate by placing their trees in the area of their normal garbage pickup. Trees may also be dropped off at any of the TPCG residential drop-off sites.

TPCG announces the online surplus auction of adjudicated properties. The viewing period begins January 17, 2018. The purpose of the Board of Adjustment is to hold hearings to rule on variances, special exceptions, interpretations of the zoning ordinance and administrative decisions. The Board of Adjustment operates under the auspices of the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government’s Planning and Zoning Department.
Attendees will enjoy a plated dinner, drinks, and entertainment. The Chamber’s newly installed officers and outgoing board members are recognized at the event along with the announcements of the Chamber's Community Champion, Chamber Star award, Chamber Distinguished Diplomat award, The Courier’s Most Useful Citizen award, the American Legion's Teenager of the Year, and HTV’s Eugene Folse Outstanding Veteran award. Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute (LCAI)
Last day to register for the LCAI course on construction industry basics and prepping for the state's licensing exam for contractors. Classes will be held from February 19 to March 28, 2018. Price is $200 per participant.
Apache Corporation is pleased to announce that they are donating 200 trees in celebration of Arbor Day 2018. Some of the trees expected to be available for the Give Away are Magnolia, Eagleston, Buttonbush, Southern Crabapple, White Oak, Bald Cypress, Willow Oak, Southern Live Oak, Sweet Pecan, American Sweet Gum and Sycamore.
Apache Corporation also donated saplings and seedlings of various varieties including Bald Cypress, Pond Cypress, Laurel Oak and Swamp Chestnut Oak.
There is a limit of two container saplings per household to be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so come early to assure your choice of various Louisiana native seedlings and saplings.
More than 27 teams battle for your vote and to be named the best dish in Houma. All you can eat soup, gumbo, and chili for a $5 entry fee. 5k Walk/Run starts at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $25 and includes entry into the cook-off.
