Builder registration and licensing is the law.  The state is the licensing authority, but the Parish is on the front line providing permits for work.  The grant programs are required to meet all local, state and federal law including building code enforcement and builder licensing.  If you know of any builder that wants to take advantage of reconstruction and elevation projects or the trades needed for those projects, they need to have the appropriate registration or licensure.  The Home Builders Association is holding a FREE lunch for contractors to help other builders get their proper documentation.
