As part of the 2017 Coastal Master Plan, the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), in partnership with the Office of Community Development, will host a series of four Community Conversations in coastal Louisiana in early 2016 to share information about the Flood Risk and Resilience Program. Attendees will learn more about future coastal flood risk; how the State, parishes, and residents can reduce this risk; and the State’s approach to residential elevation, commercial floodproofing, and this risk; and the State’s approach to residential elevation, commercial floodproofing, and voluntary acquisition. Input received at these meetings will inform how CPRA’s Flood Risk and Resilience Program can be tailored to best meet the needs of local communities. Each Community Conversation will include:
