Special Event- Applying for a Letter of No Objection

The Letter of No Objection is issued for Special Events where alcoholic beverages are sold or are supplied as part of a general admission. The Letter of No Objection grants permission to the applicant to sell alcoholic beverages during the Special Event. An applicant should begin the application 14 days prior to the event. Once the Letter of No Objection is written, the applicant must use it to apply for the Louisiana State Special Event Permit.

TPCG Process for Applying for a Letter of No Objection for Special Events

STEP #1
Begin Process 14 Days Prior to Event

Pick up Application with Customer Service on 1st Floor of Government Tower or print from www.tpcg.org
- Fill out the Special Events Application
- Fill out the Hold Harmless & Indemnification Agreement

Is the Special Event Held Within City Limits?

- Apply for a Temporary Sound permit if necessary.

  Administration sends Application by Email to these Departments:

 
  Risk Management Department Sales & Use Tax Department Planning & Zoning Department Customer Service Department Administration Department  
  They will contact the Applicant for Liquor Liability Insurance if the Special Event is held on Terrebonne Parish Government Property. They will contact the Applicant for Occupational License & Sales Tax issues.
(Note: All Special Events must have an Occupational License and Sales Tax Account whether or not alcohol is served.)
They will contact the Applicant for Sound Permit or Public Property Use Permit. They will contact the Applicant for any Collections or Payments Due. Check the Louisiana Secretary of State Website for Business Filing Status

STEP #5
Once all Departments approve the application, the Letter of No Objection is written. The applicant will receive a phone call to pick the letter up on the 7th Floor of the Government Tower.
