The Craftin' Cajuns Indoor Craft Show and Marketplace features 220 exhibitor booths, all located indoors. Participating vendors include craft vendors and small businesses selling a variety of products, including home decor, gifts, clothing, bath and body products, beauty products, drinkware, wood furniture, art, sweets and treats, and specialty items. Admission is free.

Explore books from more than a dozen local authors at the Books for the Bayou event. Meet with local authors including Jonathan Foret, Anna C. Bradford, Nickolas Johnson and more during the event. The following vaccinations will be available at no cost: flu and Mpox. No cost COVID vaccinations will be available for under-insured and uninsured. The WISEWOMAN program will be offering free heart health screenings for women 35-64. This free event is open to the public and no appointment is needed. If you have one, bring your health insurance card (private, Medicaid, or Medicare). Attendees are encouraged to wear a short-sleeve or loose fitting long-sleeve shirt.

Dedication of the Courthouse Square honoring Edward "Bubby" Lyons. Mr. Lyons was Mayor of Houma from 1978 to 1984 and served as the first Parish President from 1984 to 1988.

Bayou Regional Arts Council is holding its second annual Bayou Arts Fest in conjunction with Explore Houma's White Boot Stroll and the Voice of the Wetlands in historic downtown Houma. This event is free to the public. The event will feature authentic Cajun food, live music from the VOW stage and bandstand, unique arts and crafts, and more. Street closure will run from Main Street and Lafayette Street to Main Street and Barrow Street.

Keep Terrebonne Beautiful will be celebrated in Terrebonne Parish, and you are invited to attend this event! At the event, residents can recycle the following items: • All computer-related electronics, including desktops, laptops, telephone systems, servers, gaming consoles, and more. • Banking, legal, and other important documents. • Clothing items. • Mardi Gras beads and aluminum cans. America Recycles Day is an initiative aimed at encouraging and educating individuals on how to be more mindful of what they consume, where to recycle, and how to properly return valuable materials for reuse in their everyday lives.

Fashion show to be held at the new Rotary Centennial Plaza! VIP tables available. General admission is $35.00. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held earlier in the day beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the doors opening at 10 a.m.

TGMC presents Farmers Market at the Marina. The event will host local food trucks and vendors selling a variety of items such as vegetables , homemade sweets and candles, honey, bread, etc. This event is free and open to the public.

The Annual Spelling Bee returns to the Main Library with grade level competitions and an open competition for all ages. The entry fee is $1 for grades 1-6 and $2 for open competition. Winners will receive prizes, and all participants will have the opportunity to compete in a supportive environment. Terrebonne 4-H will host a clover hunt for 4-H members. Members will meet on the steps of the Courthouse Square at 4:30 pm. 4-H prizes will be given. An adult must remain present with the 4-H member.

The Houma Elks Lodge #1193 is excited to announce the return of its annual Duck Derby and Inaugural Duck Extravaganza on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Downtown Houma. The festival is a fun-filled day for all ages, featuring a duck derby race, craft vendors, a duck hunt (scavenger hunt), a Quack Pot Showdown (a crockpot cookoff), and more.
