The
Houma Fire Department is organized to prevent, preserve, and protect
lives and property of our citizens from the ravages and destruction
caused by uncontrolled fires. The department renders first aid and
other emergency services to the public. The Houma Fire Department is
divided into five divisions - Administration, Training, Maintenance,
Prevention, and Suppression. The Fire Chief is responsible for the
Administration and Management of the Houma Fire Department and is the
overall administrator of all four other divisions.
The Houma Fire Department has 59 full
time employees. We have four stations manned 24 hours a day and one Central
Administration office. The station locations are as follows:

We have two pumpers in service and
three spare pumper. We also have one 95' aerial platform truck and one 75' ladder-truck. We have
five staff units.
