Force Drainage Pumps
FORCED DRAINAGE PUMPS: drainage division operates 61 forced drainage systems throughout the parish. At present we are installing a telemetry scada system on these stations, which has the capability of monitoring the status of the stations from a central location to assure proper operation of the pumps. The first phase is complete with 39% of the pumps online at present.

Ditches and Canals
DITCHES AND CANALS: The drainage division also cleans and maintains the roadside ditches, culverts, and catch basins on all parish streets. Drainage also cleans canals and laterals within the force drainage systems, in the parish. This includes cutting of levees and laterals, dredging pump canals, removal of vegetation from canals.

Culvert Installation Procedure
