A Message from the Clerk of City Court

City Court of Houma is committed to the improvement of services to the general public and the business and legal communities. City Court of Houma is currently collaborating with the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government’s Information Systems Division to upgrade the technology of the Court to twenty-first century standards with the hopes of having within a short period the capacity of much larger court systems.

City Court of Houma is comprised of three divisions: the Civil division which handles civil suits, small claims, evictions and other civil proceedings parish-wide, the Criminal/Traffic division which handles misdemeanor and traffic offenses within the City of Houma, and the Juvenile and Community Service division which is also parish-wide. Being the juvenile court for the Parish of Terrebonne places a great responsibility in providing services to the young people of the parish.
